Osabuohien Osaretin (born March 17, 1989), better known by his stage name Sarz, is a producer and producer of Nigerian music. Born in Benin, Edo State, he is popularly known by the name “Sarz On The Beat” designated at the beginning of the end of all his musical productions.

His first full credit production work was in Lord Ajase’s “See Drama” in 2007. He produced songs for Wizkid, Naeto C, Banky W, Skales, Shank, Reminisce, Goldie Harvey, eLDee, Wande Coal, and YQ. He previously signed with Trybe Records but left the team after his contract expired in November 2013.

SARZ Early Life

Osabuohien Osaretin was born in Benin into a family of 3 children. He attended All Saints Elementary School and attended high school at Goodwill High School. Sarz describes his entry into the music scene as a mistake; Attributing to her love of music and her ability to remember her heart rate in detail after listening to it sparked her interest in music production.

SARZ Musical Career

In 2010 Sarz recorded the hit single “Jor Oh” and a remix for Jahbless, which included Durella, RuggedMan, Reminisce, Ice Prince, and eLDee. The song won the Best Street Hop award and was nominated for “Best Collaboration” on The Headies. In 2011, he produced “Hello” by Shank, “Today Today” and “Wash Wash” by Eldee, “Mukulu,” “Don’t Touch My Body” by Goldie Harvey, and “How To Chicken” by Reminisce. “How Bi Chicken” was nominated for “Best Street Hop” in The Headies, 2012. Later that year, he produced only eLDee’s album “Undeniable” (except “We Made It”).

Sarz was nominated for the Nigeria Entertainment Award 2012 for the “Producer of the Year” award with Don Jazzy. However, Don Jazzy won the award and dedicated the award Sarz. He won the “Best New Producer” award at the Dynamix Awards 2012. He released his first single “Beat Of Life (Samba)” with the Nigerian artist Wizkid from his next album.

In 2013, he produced two songs from Wizkid Ayo’s album, “Jaiye Jaiye” with Femi Kuti and “Kilofe”. He was mentioned as one of five new music producers to launch Don Jazzy for his money by Premium Times Nigeria. Sarz is said to have signed a sponsorship agreement with Nike later that year. Sarz was the executive producer of the official song Hennessy Artistry 2014 titled “Dance Go (Eau de Vie)” with Wizkid and 2Face Idibia.

SARZ Net Worth

Sarz is among the top Nigerian music producers. He is believed to have an estimated net worth of between $1 million -6 million.
