Black Couple’s Patented Mobile App Allows Courts to Issue Marriage Licenses Electronically

JC and Randy Banks, a married entrepreneurial couple from Atlanta, are the founders of WebWed Mobile – a patented app with cyber jurisdiction that allows various courts across the country to issue marriage licenses electronically. Their technology will enable people to get a marriage license, and legally get married on the same day – without having to leave home!

It’s a perfect and beneficial concept during a time of national quarantine when most courts are closed, and most governors have issued state-wide stay-at-home orders. Many couples have had to postpone and even cancel their upcoming weddings. But thanks to JC and Randy, WebWed Mobile is literally “saving the day” and “saving love” by bringing those dreams to virtual reality – even including family and friends in the ceremony.

Sophie Feral, a customer who used the app to get married on April 1st, shared, “What we thought would be a short, administrative process, turned into an unexpectedly special and touching moment for my husband and me. I’m so grateful to JC and the WebWed Mobile team, who made our moment special.”

JC comments, “I never imagined that a global pandemic would make the symbolism of marriage so special and precious at a time like this.” We have been swamped, bringing love and matrimony to couples across all time zones, races, from dusk to dawn, through a private and secure wedding experience.

JC and her husband, Randy, established WebWed Mobile just days after the Marriage Equality Law was passed five years ago. JC merged her legal expertise and passion for transforming the marriage industry with Randy’s tech-savvy, and together they created this beautiful technology that enables virtual “I Do’s.”

To date, WebWed Mobile has married thousands of couples, and the demand keeps growing daily. The app is available for download on both iOS App Store and Google Play.
