Tiwatope Savage (Tiwa Savage) was born to the Savage family on February 5, 1980, in Lagos State, Nigeria, where she completed her primary education. At the age of 11, Tiwa Savage and her family moved to London, the United Kingdom, where she finished high school, and her tertiary education. Tiwa Savage holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Berkeley College of Music, Boston, United Kingdom.
During her university studies, Tiwa Savage played the trombone for the orchestra of her school and excelled in the handling of the instrument, which she started learning from an early age.
