Yemi Alade was born on March 13, 1989, to James Alade, a police commissioner and Helen Uzoma in Abia State. Her father, James, is from Ondo State, while her mother is Igbo, so Yemi Alade is a Yoruba-Igbo girl.

She received his early education at the St. Saviour British primary school before enrolling in Victory Grammar School in Lagos for secondary school.
