Early life and Education
BBNaija Wathoni grew up in Lagos State. She attended the University of Lagos from 2011 to 2015 and held a bachelor’s degree in sociology.
Career
Before starting her fashion business, Wathoni worked for many companies in various fields of activity, mainly related to content creation and sales.
Wathoni’s career before appearing on the BBNaija Show spanned many years working for various companies. Between 2010 and 2011, Wathoni worked at the Just For You store in Lagos as a sales assistant.
Later, Wathoni got a better job as a receptionist for PLC Julius Berger Nigeria. Wathoni was with Julius Berger from Nigeria for almost a year before leaving. The following year, Wathoni joined Ember Creek, a modern bar, restaurant, and cafe in Ikoya, Lagos, as the new public relations manager.
Wathoni lost her job for a while to give birth to her stepson in 2014. In 2016, after the birth of her son, Wathoni started working as an event manager for Melting Moments, a pastry and pastry shop in Lagos. Wathoni did not last at work.
A few months later, Wathoni joined the sales department of Hemingway Safaris Africa Ltd travel agency in Lagos. Wathoni also worked for almost two years (2016-2018) as a social media manager for Adensecret, an African online fashion store.
The same year BBNaija Wathoni left Adensecret, she joined Spotlight International to fill a similar role as a social media manager and content creator.
Wathoni started her own fashion business called Wathonis 2016. Before joining BBNaija, Wathoni was the content host of her private show, Baby Talk Show With Wathoni, an online show that deals with pregnancy, motherhood, and pregnancy, maternity, and paternity.
