Try this mouthwatering attiéké: An Ivory coast native food
Attiéké is a traditional Ivorian dish made from fermented cassava. It is often presented as an accompaniment to chicken or fish.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups attiéké (in a box)

- 3 tomatoes, finely chopped
- 1 finely diced red onion
- 1 green hot pepper, finely chopped
- ½ Maggi cube (optional)
- Vegetable oil

INSTRUCTIONS
- Add the attiéké to a large bowl and moisten with at least 1 cup (250 ml) of water or more to obtain a wet grain. Separate by mixing between your fingers.
- Place the moistened attiéké in a clean steamed cloth. Close the cloth and steam attiéké for 8 to 10 minutes.
- Open the cloth, stir attiéké a little and close the cloth again. Continue steaming for 8-10 minutes.
- Pour the attiéké into a bowl and fluff with a fork.

- In a salad bowl, combine the tomatoes, red onions, and peppers.
- Season with vegetable oil and the crumbled Maggi cube.
Assembly
- On a plate, present the attiéké garnished with salad, as an accompaniment to a piece of roast chicken or grilled fish.
