Biography

Harry B was born on October 8, 1959, to a family from Emena, Enugu State. He was born in Mbaise, Imo State, and is from Enugu State, Nigeria. He lived in Enugu during his early days and attended St. Patrick’s, Emene High School, Enugu State, before leaving Nigeria in 1985.

He studied in the United States for his university education. While Harry lived in the United States, he tried music before returning to Nigeria in 2004 to join the Nollywood industry.

Harry B married his wife in 1997, and their union is blessed with five children, two girls, and three boys.

Career

Returning to Nigeria in 2004, when he was 45, Harry B. Anyanwu joined the Nollywood film industry. He easily landed movie roles due to the limited availability of older actors in the film industry. His friend in the film industry, Stan K. Amadi, made it even easier for him to access acting roles.



The film that won him fame was a 2013 film titled “Keke Millionaire.” He has starred alongside other big names in the Igbo film industry, such as Cynthia Okereke, Yul Edochie, Queen Nwokoye, Stella Ukwuegbu, and Eve Esin. Harry played the role of the crowned king in the film “King of the Kingdom of Ikora” He also featured in “Ukwu Jiri Aji”, the Igbo title of “Demon Hip”. Ukwu Jiri Aji was directed by director Mansion Ali of Hoproc Entertainment Limited.
