Of all the numerous aspects of African womanhood, none are fascinating than the many representations of Black Madonnas. Indeed, the Black Madonnas of Europe is perhaps the foremost venerated icons altogether of European Christendom. Their shrines have attracted many devotees. They’re thought to be miracle workers, and their miracle-working powers are derived from their blackness.

In Russia during the nineteenth century, the celebrated Russian General Kutuzov had his army pray before the Black Madonna of Kazan before the historic battle with the Napoleonic army at Borodino. an equivalent Madonna is claimed to possess inspired Rasputin and should now be within us. A minimum of two major paintings of Black Madonnas is on display within the Kremlin in Moscow.

Regarding La Moreneta (the Little Black Lady), the Black Madonna of Montserrat, Spain – quite 1,000 years old and therefore the patroness of the Catalonian region, it’s said: “He isn’t well wed who has not taken his wife to Montserrat.” She is responsible of sexuality and fertility, and presides over weddings and childbirth. The black Madonna of France is more dangerous than any other country. With more than 300 offices in Black Madonnas in France, Chartres is a suitable center – a small town about 85 kilometers south-west of Paris. The most famous painting of Madonna of Chartres is Notre Dame. The tactical representation of the statue of the Black Madonna is always high in natural wood with a baby holding Jesus on it. Madonna and dictation’s colors range from dark brown to dresses in white dresses embroidered with gold. These paintings are highly revered, especially among Catholics, and I received portraits of knees and prayers in low voices when I visited the cathedral twice.

Chartres Cathedral is a large and magnificent building with a history of over 800 years. It is equipped with a magnificent original blue stained glass window, at least two of which have black Madonna statues in the middle. A copy of the original statue of the Black Madonna found in the basement under the main church.



Many people believe that the European Virgin is a sign of worship of the African goddess Isis. Notre-Dame Cathedral, Notre-Dame Cathedral, considered a masterpiece of Gothic architecture, was built on this African sanctuary in central Paris. It has been found that Paris itself gets its name from Isis Park.

One of France’s most influential black Notre Dame is the Notre Dame. The statue is located in southern France and may have been initially a statue of Ast / Isis. In Puy, Pope Urban II held a council in preparation for the First Crusade. Joan of Arc will accompany her horsemen from Vaucouleurs to Chinon and her mother and two brothers to Puy to pray there.

Notre-Dame de Rocamadour is a black virgin carved from walnut wood with over 1,000 years of history. It is said to revive babies, protect sailors, release captives, and promote fertility. To reach your sanctuary in southwestern France, you must climb 216 steps. France’s most famous tourists include Saint Louis of France and Henry II of the United Kingdom.

Our Lady of hermit in Einsiedeln, Switzerland, is one of the most respected virgins. It located in the Benedictine Abbey with titles like Die Schwarze Madonna, Madonna in the Dark Wood, and our dear Einsiedeln. It is a standing five-foot statue. Black Saint Maurice is one of the sponsors of the church.

Perhaps the most famous black Virgin in the world is the Virgin Mary of Jasna Gory (1656, King Jan Casimir expressed by the Queen of Poland) at the Jasna Gora Monastery in Czestochowa, Poland. The Black Madonna found in Czestochowa, painted on three pieces of wood (lemon, cypress, or cedar) in Jerusalem, is said to have reached the Jasna Gora monastery in the 14th century. Since its creation, it has offered thousands of diamonds and rubies, hundreds of pearls, and dozens of emeralds and sapphires.

The Queen of Poland searched, shredded, beaten, beaten in front of the defeated army, went through many trimmings, and always kept her dark skin. Czestochowa has more than 800 Madonnas. Millions of tourists come to visit each year.
